Some pairings just make perfect sense. Champagne and oysters. Silk and cashmere. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. So when one of the wedding world’s most celebrated planners gives a nostalgic childhood treat a bridal glow-up? Consider us officially Engage!-ed with the concept!

Recently our founders, Kathryn Arce and Rebecca Grinnals, were delighted to join longtime friend of Engage! Mindy Weiss in Los Angeles for the launch of the Ring Pop Wedding Collection, the candy brand’s first-ever collection created especially for weddings. Designed in close collaboration with Mindy, the new line takes everything generations have loved about Ring Pop: color, nostalgia, and fun. And naturally, Mindy threw a party to celebrate!

Ring Pop, All Grown Up

Hosted at CATCH LA, the intimate celebration brought the concept to life in playful fashion. Bright color, clever details, and plenty of candy transformed the evening into exactly the sort of event we’d expect from Mindy. Polished and beautifully conceived, but with a sense of humor running through every detail.

That balance is also what makes the collaboration itself so clever. Ring Pops have been unofficially popping up at weddings for years. They’re tucked into bridesmaid proposals, bachelorette bags, welcome gifts, dessert displays, and late-night treats. This new collection just makes the relationship official (and pretty!)

Mindy worked with the brand from the early creative stages through to the final launch, reimagining the iconic candy for the modern wedding journey. The gemstone-inspired collection comes in three appropriately romantic flavors: First Kiss Watermelon, Main Squeeze Citrus, and Berry in Love Strawberry. The pearl-finished candy rings come in individual wrappers bearing phrases including I Said Yes, Off the Market, and Ring It On. Even the colors were considered with wedding photography in mind, using lighter shades designed not to leave guests smiling for the camera with brightly stained lips and teeth.

The Sweetest Kind of Celebration

For us, the evening was also a chance to celebrate Mindy herself. Over decades at the very top of the wedding and events industry, she has never lost her instinct for the small, unexpected detail that makes people smile. This collaboration feels like a perfect expression of that creativity.

As event professionals, we know that often it’s the details with personality that guests talk about later. A Ring Pop might be small, but in the right hands, even a piece of candy can become part of the story.

We loved raising a glass (and, naturally, a Ring Pop!) to Mindy and the team behind this very sweet new chapter. Congratulations on the launch, and we can’t wait to see these little gems popping up at celebrations everywhere!
