During all Engage! events, we promise to inspire and entertain our attendees, and one way we do this is with themed details! Our Engage! Summits are especially well-known for their exceptional themed breaks. These meet and mingle opportunities not only provide attendees with a breather, but also create unique and luxurious experiences that are both refreshing and memorable. The Engage!24 Nemacolin themed breaks were no exception. They offered participants an opportunity to indulge in creative culinary delights while networking and recharging between sessions. TPD Design House and Engage!24 Nemacolin creative director, Ed Libby, ensured these themed breaks satisfied the eyes as well as the palate, leaving attendees talking long after they were over.
Cocktails & Caviar Break
The cocktails & caviar break on day one took place at Lone Tree, the highest point on the Nemacolin property. This location is not only known for its breathtaking sunsets but also holds heartwarming sentimental value. This is the point that served as the wedding venue for Nemacolin’s own PJ Magerko-Liquorice and Jordan Millington Liquorice. Ed Libby and his team adorned the majestic oak tree with cascading florals reminiscent of their wedding day – a very special anniversary touch!
As attendees arrived at Lone Tree, they were greeted with an array of delectable cocktails and ice pops, and a variety of canapés that tantalized the taste buds. The selection included gourmet bites such as blinis, deviled eggs, and an abundance of caviar!
The ambiance was nothing short of magical. The setting at Lone Tree, combined with the delicious food and drinks, created a truly memorable break for attendees. The breathtaking views and the sentimental value of the location added to the overall charm, making it a true highlight. Our attendees enjoyed the opportunity to mingle and network in such a picturesque and meaningful setting.
Tea Break
As if the first of our Engage!24 Nemacolin themed breaks, wasn’t enough of a standout, we brewed up something extra special for day two! Attendees enjoyed a delightful Tea Break, which also acted as a charming and elegant respite. Inspired by the traditional afternoon tea served at Nemacolin, this break replicated a real tea party experience. And it was just our cup of tea!
One of the traditions of afternoon tea at Nemacolin is that it is served on fine china from Anna Weatherley Designs. Rimmed in 24 karat gold, the tea service features hand-painted patterns of flowers, butterflies, grasshoppers, and ladybugs. Anna Weatherley’s exquisite pieces are crafted by master painters in Budapest, Hungary, and are also used at prestigious locations such as Buckingham Palace and the White House, further enhancing the luxurious feel of the event.
Taking the Nemacolin tea service as his inspiration, Ed and his team dreamed up a giant Anna Weatherly teapot and teacup ‘fountain’. Surrounded by abundant blooms, it formed an eye-catching centerpiece and set the tone for the entire break. As models in floral gowns mingled among the guests, waiters circulated with treat-laden golden birdcages. Butterflies and botanical details adorned napkins and the bar.
Guests were treated to a variety of teas, coffees, and fresh cold-pressed juices. The selection of teas ranged from classic Earl Grey to exotic blends, ensuring there was something to suit every palate. For those who preferred coffee, The Espresso Guys provided expertly brewed options that were both rich and aromatic. Meanwhile, guests also indulged in sweet and savory delicacies. For example, egg salad tea sandwiches, lobster puffs, truffled deviled eggs with caviar, and green goddess hearts of palm tarts. Sweet treats included cakes, decorated cookies, and macarons, offering pops of color as well as satisfying the sweet tooth.
It’s safe to say that the Engage!24 Nemacolin themed breaks left a lasting impact on attendees, offering immersive experiences that perfectly complemented our venue. Participants left them not only refreshed and recharged, but also with some new ideas to bring to their own events.
