In the true tradition of London theater, the final curtain call of Engage!25 The London Experience was dramatic, over-the-top, and impossible to forget. On our last evening together in the capital, we swapped city views for opera boxes, soft pastels for red lights, and historic hotels for a legendary stage steeped in music and entertainment history. This was the Supper Club Gala at KOKO London – and it truly brought the house down.

Part-live music show, part-West End premiere, this was a night where sequins caught the spotlight on a jam-packed dancefloor, as friends old and new danced like no-one was watching. It was the perfect culmination of three incredible days, and of Creative Director, Bruce Russell’s vision. So join us as we follow the call of KOKO’s giant disco ball and relive every detail!

Setting & Décor
If London is the world’s greatest stage, then KOKO is its red velvet heart. Built in 1900 as the Camden Theater, the venue has lived many lives: cinema, variety hall, BBC recording studio, and later, as Camden Palace, a pulsating home to punk, rave, and New Romantic legends. Over the years, it has hosted performances from The Clash to Amy Winehouse, Prince to Madonna, and the Rolling Stones.

But on this night, KOKO was ours, reimagined as the Engage! Supper Club, where the night’s revelry unfolded like a kaleidoscope of marvels. Crimson velvet chairs lined long banquet tables dressed in moody floral linens. Vintage table lamps cast a soft glow over places set with red circular menus that doubled as chargers, an elegant wink to the art of dinner theater. Flowers spilled from balconies, as waiters dressed as ushers moved from row to row, bearing popcorn and champagne. The effect was a mix between underground club and palace ballroom, all under KOKO’s historic dome. Every detail was considered to heighten the experience. As the room buzzed with anticipation, it became clear that this was a performance space in every sense. And tonight, we were all part of the cast for a one-night-only production.

The Stationery
Before attendees even stepped onto the red carpet, the stage had already been set, thanks to a hand-delivered invitation to the party. Each crimson envelope was a mood in itself and contained a ticket to the night of their lives.

At KOKO, the drama continued. TPD Design House crafted a stationery suite anchored in the deep red and gold palette of the venue’s historic opulence while tying seamlessly into the Engage!25 London brand language. Heavy cardstock and luxurious gold letterpress gave the paper goods a tactile gravitas worthy of the setting. The circular menus were the pièce de résistance, recalling chargers as well as vinyl records. Partygoers lifted the lids like a reveal, uncovering the decadent supper club menu beneath.

Food & Beverage
What is a supper club without supper? Guests started their evening seated for a tasting-style overture, where the opening act was ‘Caviar Trifle’ layered with Petrossian caviar, Tajin Tapioca, and an heirloom tomato choux bun. Act Two? A Whipped Burrata Bavarois so silky it deserved its own spotlight.

In a break from tradition, attendees were then invited to “rise, roam, and revel.” Waiters circulated with silver trays carrying a culinary medley of playful, elevated bites. From truffle bonbons to the wildly indulgent ‘Steak and Lobster’ tartlets, every dish exhibited both flavor and flair. We especially loved the ‘Neeps and Tatties’ potato rosti, paired with haggis ketchup and caramel-pickled turnip, a wink to British heritage with a modern twist. Later, Dry Aged Beef Sliders and Chocolate Cremaux kept the late-night crowd fueled for the dance floor. And the sips were just as impressive, with a starring lineup of signature cocktails: the KOKO Spritz (Hendrick’s, St Germain, prosecco), Classic Negroni, Margarita, and the mocktail Clean Margarita.

As the night unfolded, every bite and pour felt cheeky, luxurious, and utterly unbothered by convention. It was a menu made for clinking glasses, swapping stories, and dancing until late.

The Entertainment
We promised dinner and a show, and boy, did we deliver! The evening opened with a live orchestra positioned across individual boxes across various levels of the venue. Then it was lights up on the Dover Street Big Band, who delivered the kind of polished panache that would make Count Basie smile.

But at an Engage! gala, nothing is ever quite as it seems. Just as the audience settled in, the ‘ushers’ scattered throughout the room suddenly leapt into motion, launching into a sizzling choreographed number. Still breathless from that twist, we were soon swept into the thrill of a powerhouse soloist and a ten-piece gospel choir. And just when they thought it couldn’t get any bigger, The Fellas took the stage and invited guests up for the big reveal: a hidden dance floor. In a city known for theater, Engage! delivered a performance worthy of a standing (or dancing) ovation.

The Attire
The dress code for Engage!25 London’s Supper Club Gala could only have been ‘sparkles and shine.’ It represented a tribute to all the glamor KOKO has hosted through the years, as well as Engage!-ers’ sparkling company! Our guests took to the brief like stars to a spotlight, arriving in a glittering blur of sequins, velvet, glam tailoring, and feathered flourishes. There were suits that shimmered, gowns that swished, shoulders that glimmered under KOKO’s lights, and accessories that deserved their own round of applause. All brought their own magic to the mix, resulting in a crowd that glowed with personality, confidence, and unabashed style.

In a single, spectacular evening, we celebrated everything Engage! stands for. Immersive design, unfiltered joy, artistic brilliance, and genuine connection. Set against the iconic backdrop of KOKO London, the Supper Club Gala closed Engage!25 London not with a full stop, but with an exclamation point. The best way to say farewell before we said ‘so long, London’ – for now, anyway!
