“To reach a port, we must set sail—sail, not tie at anchor.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

There’s a magic to the moment a boat slips its moorings. The thrill of departure, the open horizon, and the promise of everything still to come. The Engage!26 Evrima welcome party leaned into that feeling, beginning with a traditional sailaway cocktail hour. As the engines hummed to life, champagne flutes caught the last rays of golden-hour sun. And just like that, our journey was underway.

The theme of the evening was ‘Come Sail Away,’ and guests were shipshape in a palette of ocean blues, enjoying the sunset together before drifting into intimate dining experiences across the yacht’s restaurants, and later reuniting for a lively dance party that carried on late into the night. As Evrima set course for St. Barths, it became clear that this was the start of something extraordinary, and we were all very much on board.

Setting the Scene: The Art of Departure

The design on deck echoed the mood of the evening: elegant ease. Evrima’s deck had been transformed into something between a beautifully appointed coastal home and a captain’s private salon. The kind of space where you’d happily drop anchor for a few hours. White florals were arranged in vessels in graduated shades of blue, grey, and white, creating a tonal palette that reflected the sea beyond. White hurricane lanterns cast a warm glow as daylight softened into dusk. Stacks of carefully curated coffee table books added texture and a sense of invitation: pull up a chair, stay awhile. Guests lingered, champagne in hand, as duelling pianos entertained and conversation flowed. Together, we toasted the journey ahead.

From Deck to Table

After gathering together on deck, guests dispersed into smaller groups, making their way to dinner across Evrima’s restaurants. This approach allowed attendees to connect on a more intimate level while also experiencing the incredible range of cuisine available on board.

At Mistral, Mediterranean flavors took center stage, with fresh local catches, handmade pastas, and grilled prime cuts served in a space that blurred the line between indoors and out. The Pool House offered something more relaxed, serving à la minute dishes with global influences in an open-air setting. In The Evrima Room, the tone was more refined, but still welcoming. Here, seasonal, locally inspired menus reflected the destinations that the yacht explores. Meanwhile, Talaat Nam brought a contemporary Southeast Asian perspective, with shared plates and bold flavors. Each space offered a distinct experience, but together they formed a single purpose: to nourish both body and connection.

Let the Good Tides Roll

After dinner, guests reconvened in the Observation Lounge, warmed by good food and new friendships, and ready to celebrate. The energy shifted to something more vibrant and playful. The panoramic windows framed nothing but stars and sparkling open water as the yacht cut smoothly through the Caribbean night.

On stage, live singers from Elan Artists set the mood. Models and performers moved through the space in high-fashion nautical uniforms, a kind of elevated ‘party crew.’ Later, a DJ took over, and soon the dance floor was filled with bouncing tassels and shimmering sequins. Ties were loosened. Heels came off. The party found its groove and stayed there, as guests danced the way you only can when you’re in the middle of the ocean with nowhere else to be.

Dress Code & Attire

The dress code for the Engage!26 Evrima welcome party, ‘Shades of the Sea,’ felt perfectly in tune with the setting. Guests arrived in a spectrum of ocean-inspired tones: cerulean cocktail dresses, Prussian blue suits, navy silks, and aquamarine satins. It was a visual reminder that while we were all sailing in the same direction, each person brought their own style.

As the evening wound down (or rather, as some guests finally surrendered to the pull of their luxury staterooms while others kept the momentum going long into the night), there was a true sense that something special was underway. The course was set, the crew was assembled, and the real journey was just beginning. All aboard!
