What a night! Oh what a night!! To end our final Engage! of 2023 on this high of a note gives us such full hearts as we begin this big year ahead. For our gala event at Engage!23 The Boca Raton, the theme was the “New Golden Era.” A gilded golden age from history reimagined and reborn again with more pomp and circumstance than we could have ever imagined. Some might even say it was 24k magic! And it couldn’t have been possible without the incredible talents of our friends and partners at both The Boca Raton and Gilded Decor Group (among many other talented teams listed below!). Keep reading and you’ll see why! Journey to the past with us as we look back at our recent golden-gilded gala at The Boca Raton.
The Attire
Guests were asked to dress in their golden best for our golden-gilded gala and they certainly did just that! The gold-clad crew was welcomed into the cocktail hour where a modern twist on the past was waiting to dazzle in all its sparkle.
The Design Inspiration
Taking inspiration from the hallmark palm tree at The Boca Raton, TPD Design House and Gilded Group Decor created a golden wall of escort cards designed to look like golden palms that doubled as a golden ticket to get into the glittering event.
Then, when doors opened to the ballroom, Boca by Design transformed the space into a culmination of the week with a quintessential South Florida gala reimagined in a modern and experiential way to reflect the idea of this new golden era. Tall white orchid centerpieces dressed the golden linens below that were flickering with light from thousands of candles throughout the room. Gorgeous gold orb chandeliers hung overhead and gold embossed menus topped each place setting with a custom place card for the seated dinner. Gilded Group Decor and Nuage Linens blew us away with decor details worthy of royalty!
The F&B
Dinner and drinks were a highlight of this night. And did we mention drinks were part of the actual dinner? The inventive mixology team at Cocktail Academy wowed us all week and their collaboration with the culinary team at The Boca Raton was second to none. Our guests raved about the gin and tonic cured salmon crudo and salad with champagne-poached white asparagus followed by lobster-crowned filet mignon. The food was certainly a standout throughout the week and the gala was the culmination of that in spades!
The bar was as delicious as the meal! Caviar-topped martinis impressed our well-dressed guests and needless to say, champagne was flowing.
Elan Artists always brings their A-game and on this night, the show was out of this world. From big band-era musicians to feather-clad dancers, the golden dance floor and massive stage had guests mesmerized throughout dinner. But the performances during dinner weren’t the only music on the playlist that night. We had a very, very special surprise in store for our attendees.
The Entertainment
Once the gourmet meal was done, friends took to the dance floor to join in the fun. That’s when our co-founders, Rebecca and Kathryn, grabbed the mic and teased us with what was to come…a private concert by Flo Rida!!! Dare we say the audience turned into teenagers with squeals and screams?! Maybe just for a moment (or two).
Flo Rida rocked the house, getting our group on stage with them by the middle of the set. This was something we will never forget. We didn’t think the energy could get any higher in the room…until…a massive confetti drop!! What a finale to a fantastic week and a wonderful way to ring in the end of 2023.
Hearts full of gratitude, we thank our Engage! community for another banner year in the books and a fantastic experience together at Engage!23 The Boca Raton. This golden-gilded gala will certainly stay with us for a long, long time to come.
