Our Engage!23 Montenegro welcome party at One&Only Portonovi was a seaside celebration of friends new and old. To mirror the epic sunset we knew we would enjoy that evening, we asked guests to come in attire inspired by the colors of a sunset. Then, we designed a celebration on the lawn overlooking the bay that also reflected the beautiful sky above.
Guests were welcomed to the Veranda Terrace and Lawn at One&Only, where they were greeted by the elegant backdrop of the sea and beautiful style and floral by Adriatic Events by Silvana Saveljic. In collaboration with Dubrovnik Event and Wedding Designers, Silvana and team designed a space that felt authentic to the environment, something we always strive to achieve at any Engage! location. Layered into the beauty around us were the sounds and talents of ALR Music. Encouraged to lounge, listen, and connect, the environment wasn’t overwhelming but set the stage for meaningful connection, an important pillar of our retreats.
Orange cushions flanked the cozy couches. Cotton paired with dried florals dressed up the areas and vignettes to feel like welcoming living room spaces.
The Fresh Fare
The food was certainly a standout moment throughout our time in Montenegro and the welcome party bites were no exception! Local fresh fare and cocktails could be found at every turn.
As the sun began to set on our sunset-clad guests, the party kicked up a notch. The celebration among friends really took shape!
Our welcome parties always feel like a reunion and the first day of school at the same time. It’s so wonderful to embrace old friends and to get to know so many new friends on this opening night. It was a fantastic way to kick off a very special few days in Montenegro. A welcome party at One&Only Portonovi is one not to miss!
